Missing part

I'm I missing a cover under the fly wheel??? 

And what is the large thumb screw above the metal decal on the large arm of the shown in the picture for??? 

Singer Treadle

 This is my treadle machine, had it several years now.  Decals are damaged right in front of the needle but the rest is fine.  It works and stitches.  Cabinet is damaged but I bought it mostly to actually use, not be a room decoration. 

This is the front, are mostly have this fancy a plate??? 

Design Table - December 17, 2012

Bonnie Hunter's Clue 4 is DONE!!!!  Now to wait until Friday.

Bonnie Hunter's Easy Street Clue 3 is done!!!  Well except for the two squares to cut, those will come next week when I dig out those fabrics IF we need them then.  They are one bin back and about six down to my left and no time to do that now.  sigh...

 



These are my moth in the window blocks, all done.  Ready to sash, have to cut all the little purple and white patches to do that.  I have the longer pieces already cut.  Those were easy!!!

Design Wall - December 3, 2012

Clue 2 of Bonnie Hunter's Easy Street mystery is done!!!!!!!!! 

I've been working on the Moth in the Window blocks from Quiltmaker Dec 2011.  I have them almost done, just three more fabric sets to complete and one is partly done.  AND I think I've figured out how I'm going to set them too.  Not sure on the border yet, had one but I think it will be too dark now.  sigh.....  Story of my life. But I'm sure there is another perfect one upstairs in the vault!!!

Been using the August Quiltathon for a leader ender so that one is progressing very slowly.

Design Wall - October 29, 2012

This little quilt was from a beginner's applique class our guild had.  Think we had ten new to hand applique people taking the class, they all finished their block and made into the pillow instructions provided by the teacher.  Contrary person that I am mine is a small wall hanging and I added a blue bird too, just for fun.

I've wanted to make this quilt for a long time.  It's called 13 lucky cats, well I only have room for five so mine is a bit smaller.  BUT it's DONE for which I am glad.

I finished two Ohio Star blocks and 24 of the nine patches.  We had company all weekend to help clean out our garage.  Years worth of stuff.  ;-)  Top will be done by Wednesday to show at guild, it was our mystery for this year.

Well I only have a design table today, it's what I have set up to stitch this afternoon and beyond. Green and orange are the outside rows on some nine patches that were in a NYE mystery.  In the center is a new project, a yellow brick road for a gift quilt.  On the right are blocks to be sewn into rows for a Christmas mystery posted before with the reel blocks.

Well I am NOT going to count all this fabric.  I work for a designer and has fabrics that are outdated, not her style, or just doesn't like them.  The small house just won't hold them all.  I make charity quilts for our guild so they most often get used in that area.  Well do pull out some of my own when I need just that color.  For the most part it's FQ but some are smaller.

This has been on the design wall for a couple weeks.  I think I love it so much I don't want to finish it up and take it of.  Just like looking at it.  sigh....  But I will be working on it this week so I can put other things up there.  it was a Dorothy Young Christmas mystery that I added some applique.  Still needs borders but should probably finish the center first.  ;-)

Design Wall Monday - January 9, 2012

Well took a long time deciding on the colors and finding the background for Just Take 2 blocks.
I saw someone else has done them in green and as I had a pile of greens handy that part was set.  But finding a large yardage for the background was getting interesting until I found a whole bolt of Kona Bone hiding upstairs.  Done deal!!!!!!!!!!! 

Design wall ironing table because I have another project on the wall.  You'll have to wait until next week to see that, IF I get the stitching done.  ;-)

Well I ordered fabric with a friend last October, we had both given up on it.  Low and behold it came in last week so I took my share of a half a bolt each of two fabrics thus the additions of fabric.  We also have more on order but it's still back ordered so no clue when or IF it will come in. 
I used two yards bordering my hexagon quilt so that is a done top and ready for quilting in the spring.
