Stash Report - January 29, 2012

Well I am NOT going to count all this fabric.  I work for a designer and has fabrics that are outdated, not her style, or just doesn't like them.  The small house just won't hold them all.  I make charity quilts for our guild so they most often get used in that area.  Well do pull out some of my own when I need just that color.  For the most part it's FQ but some are smaller.

Added this week:  0 yards and one big box
Added year to date: 14 yards and one big box

Design Wall Monday - January 23, 2012

This has been on the design wall for a couple weeks.  I think I love it so much I don't want to finish it up and take it of.  Just like looking at it.  sigh....  But I will be working on it this week so I can put other things up there.  it was a Dorothy Young Christmas mystery that I added some applique.  Still needs borders but should probably finish the center first.  ;-)

Well I haven't use any fabric in a finished thing yet.  So the totals remain the same.  I have been working on swap blocks between cleaning house.  Guess I'm in spring cleaning mode.  But then I haven't added any fabric either.

Design Wall Monday - January 9, 2012

Well took a long time deciding on the colors and finding the background for Just Take 2 blocks.
I saw someone else has done them in green and as I had a pile of greens handy that part was set.  But finding a large yardage for the background was getting interesting until I found a whole bolt of Kona Bone hiding upstairs.  Done deal!!!!!!!!!!! 

Design wall ironing table because I have another project on the wall.  You'll have to wait until next week to see that, IF I get the stitching done.  ;-)

Stash Report - January 8, 2012

Well I ordered fabric with a friend last October, we had both given up on it.  Low and behold it came in last week so I took my share of a half a bolt each of two fabrics thus the additions of fabric.  We also have more on order but it's still back ordered so no clue when or IF it will come in. 
I used two yards bordering my hexagon quilt so that is a done top and ready for quilting in the spring.

Added this week:  14 yards
Added year to date:  0 yards
Net Used for 2012:   -12 yards

This a mystery on New Year's Eve.  I did change one color but don't think it changed the over all quilt that much.  I will work on this more at our sewing saturday the 21st of the month.

Well so far this year I haven't purchased any fabric.  Course it's only 7-8 hours old.  ;-) 
I did start a quilt yesterday but will count the fabric used when the top is done so I can just use the measurements on the pattern.  Easier when doing scrappy I hope.
