Design Wall - October 29, 2012

This little quilt was from a beginner's applique class our guild had.  Think we had ten new to hand applique people taking the class, they all finished their block and made into the pillow instructions provided by the teacher.  Contrary person that I am mine is a small wall hanging and I added a blue bird too, just for fun.

I've wanted to make this quilt for a long time.  It's called 13 lucky cats, well I only have room for five so mine is a bit smaller.  BUT it's DONE for which I am glad.

This is Judy L's Peaches and Dreams pattern.  Well I only have the center part done, need to find fabrics for the borders, I do have enough pieces for the pieced border so this is good.

While not as impressive as yesterday's quilt, this one is at least and other done top.  I do know how I will quilt it so this is a good thing.  Hubby just told me what he wants on the back if it's to be his quilt so another step along the way.

This is my UFO, Aunt Millie's pattern started about this time in 2008.  It's just a top now but would like to get it quilted this fall.  

Design Wall September 24, 2012

Finished up my mystery top to show at the guild.  Think it might need a border or two, maybe some applique in those borders.  Time will tell.  For now it will rest at bit.  ;-)

September Quiltathon

I finished two Ohio Star blocks and 24 of the nine patches.  We had company all weekend to help clean out our garage.  Years worth of stuff.  ;-)  Top will be done by Wednesday to show at guild, it was our mystery for this year.

This is my attempt at a zig zag quilt, well the start anyway.  It's a little different for me as the rows don't match across the quilt.  But so far i think I like it.  ;-)
